Do you think smoking in public places should be banned. I agree with banning it from restaurants, banning it from taverns and out doors around public places? Which makes you obviously know I am a non smoker.

I believe so. Not to long ago bill just got passed in my state to ban it in restaurants and bars unless its in a separately ventilated room. Won't start til December, but I think its great.

I think it shouldn't exist. Its bad for you, and others around you. Costs alot to smoke all the time if you add it up. Costs $3 or more a pack and alot more for carton of them. Its just a waste of time, money, and years off your life. I still find it funny that smoking is getting more taxes all the time and banned in states from restaurants and bars. I don't get why people bother with cigarettes.

As you said it is a waste of time, People are literally risking their lives every they inhale or exhale a cigarette, the tobacco inside it, even a small ounce could damage your liver, let alone give you lung cancer too.

Their are too many risks, and I am surprised that they are still allowed to sell this at shops and other selling stores.

If I had it in my way, I would Ban it Worldwide.
It's not good for you, people that pass you by could be non-smokers or allergic to it and just by taking one puff, you can be killing someone near or around you.

There are too many dangers with Smoking, Smoking can cause several kinds of side effects.

They issue a warning label on all cigarette packs, and Does that help? NO
So I suggest that they ban it for good.

Reason being, people may be allergic to it, and most importantly setting a bad example for the kids around.

So I say Yes, smoking should be banned permanently, as it's a health hazard, not only to you, but to everyone around you.

Yes, to banning in public places, and No to banning it in general. Simply because it is their body, and if someone wants to kill themselves, then it is their choice to do so. I only ask that I not have to be around them when they do so. I have an allergic reaction to the smoke, and would rather not share an area with someone who smokes. I think that it is only fair, since it is the smoke from their cigars and cigarettes that ends up being in non-smokers faces.

It would cause too much of a fuss to ban Smoking Completly.
But it should be banned in Public Places.

I agree with all your points but I just do not see why it can't be banned everywhere, except if you want to smoke, then do it in your own backyard, because all the public places may have Non-smokers, Some may be allergic.
So as Black Angel said Ban it in Public Places, where non-smokers could be affected, if they really need to smoke, then they can do so in their own backyard.

The reason it can't be banned everywhere is because at the end of the day, whether something is banned or not, people will end up doing whatever the hell they want.

People are not allowed to have gun without a license, and yet, there are people who carry firearms without a license. How about the fact that you cannot legally purchase, or consume alcohol until you are 21 years old, and yet, you have teens as young at 13 drinking, and older teens doing so while driving. Do I even have to mention drugs? Prostitution?

Alcohol was banned during Prohibition, but that didn't stop people from smuggling it, or establishing speakeasies. I think that there should be places for Smokers only, this way, those who smoke can do so with other smokers without the smoke interfering with non-smokers. This idea extends to hotels as well.

I really hate spending a ton of money for a hotel room, only to find that the bedding, mattresses, furniture and drapery have holes in them from cigars and cigarettes. I've sent quite a few sheets and blankets back for that reason, only for the new set to be worse off than the original. If all hotels were smoke free, then the likely hood of this problem would be decreased. In one hotel I stayed at, there were burns in the side of the bathtub, nightstand, table and sink.. and this was in a NON smoking room.

Personally, I think that any items taken from smoking rooms, ought to be put back in the smoking rooms, because maybe then, will the smokers who do this see for themselves the effect they have on the room's property. But, considering the fact that the sheets are all washed together, I realize that that is not at all realistic. I know that it may not always be smokers doing this so much as pyromaniacs, but considering the fact that I know what cigarette and cigar burns look like, I can't come to that conclusion. I think that either banning smoking from all hotels, or having hotels for smokers only would greatly reduce this risk.
